Erik has been in the hospitality business for his entire career. He began his career on property at the Waldorf Astoria in New York straight out of college. After a couple of years in New York, he moved to Colorado and took a job with the Embassy Suites downtown Denver, and that is when he began combining his passion for sports and his love for hospitality. He played host to virtually every NHL team in his first year in Colorado and then took on a “side hustle” working for the Colorado Avalanche. He spent 13 seasons as a statistician for visiting team broadcasts. After a few years downtown, Erik began his National Sales career with a resort in Vail, Colorado and then eventually went on to begin the sports market for La Quinta Hotels. After that, he started his own company providing housing accommodations for collegiate athletic teams before being recruited to start the sports segment for Cendant Hotel Group, now known as Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. He has been with Wyndham for the past 20 years!
